Have Your Say on Road Safety in North East Hampshire

Local MP Alex Brewer is inviting residents across North East Hampshire to complete a road safety survey and share concerns about speeding, dangerous junctions and pedestrian safety.

Published: 19 October 2026

Road safety is a concern for many residents across North East Hampshire, and local MP Alex Brewer is inviting people to share their experiences through a new road safety survey.

Many villages and towns face challenges from traffic passing through their centres, including speeding, dangerous junctions, difficulties crossing roads and concerns about children waiting for school buses alongside roads with 60mph speed limits.

The impact goes beyond road safety itself. The speed and volume of traffic can make it more difficult for residents to walk to local shops, access public transport or enjoy their local community safely.

Alex Brewer is keen to hear directly from local people, who often know their roads best and can identify problems before they are reflected in official statistics. The survey covers a range of issues, including speeding, pedestrian safety, school routes, dangerous junctions and access to public transport.

The feedback gathered will help inform Alex Brewer’s discussions with Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Police and local communities as she continues to campaign for safer roads across North East Hampshire. She will also be speaking to parish councils to better understand the concerns affecting individual communities.

Residents are encouraged to complete the road safety survey and share their views. Your experiences can help highlight local concerns and support efforts to make our villages and towns safer places to live, work and travel.
